EEV (Extruded Electric Violin) Arrow was commissioned by a F-F-Fiddle builder in the Netherlands. He wanted an evolved F-F-Fiddle that went minimalist to the extreme with a custom tuning system, compact electronics, and a customizable chin and shoulder rest.

The design was inspired by the Black Violin, an early build from Ned Steinberger that was discontinued after receiving limited acceptance by players. The radical minimalism found in that design, and also in this, is not typically what the violin player wants. Thus, a perfect application for a 3D printed electric violin!

To avoid excessive noise transfer from the body, EEV Arrow uses magnetic pickups made by Oleg Shevchuk in the Ukraine. These offer a unique, crisp, clean, and resonant tone.
