Returning Kits
Off-the-shelf parts kits may be returned and refunded in full. Buyer pays shipping.
Kits containing printed parts may be returned and refunded at 80%, as the parts are printed to order. Buyer pays shipping.
Modular Fiddle Repair Policy
Modular Fiddles are experimental and unexpected failures are possible. If you suspect that something is wrong with your instrument, do not play it and contact us immediately! David@openfabpdx.com
OpenFab PDX, LLC shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damage or for damages based upon inconvenience or service interruption. OpenFab’s liability for any defective product is limited to the repair or replacement of the product. In no case shall OpenFab’s liability exceed the value of the product.
The 3D printed parts are covered by a 12-month free replacement agreement. No other part of the instrument is covered by any guarantee or warranty including the pickup, bridge pickups, light system, all electrical components, carbon fiber rods, strings, tuners, and all other hardware.
Tampering with your instrument DOES NOT void the agreement. But parts that have been physically altered or disassembled may no longer be covered under the 12-month free replacement part agreement. If something happens we will discuss it like reasonable people.
Within the first 12 months that the instrument is in your care:
- If a 3D printed part fails, replacement parts are free of charge.
- Buyer pays all shipping costs for instrument or parts.
- Parts that fail due to misuse or abuse are not covered under this agreement and OpenFabPDX will assess each case and decide as to whether the free replacement will be provided.
- Buyer must be the original owner and must provide a valid proof of purchase.
After 12 months, OR if a part fails due to misuse or abuse at any time:
- Replacement parts are available at a 50% discount from my standard part pricing.
- Labor fees apply as needed and buyer pays shipping.
All policies stated here apply only to the original owner and are not transferable.
