Snapbuds are a minimalist solution to tangled earbuds. Just snap the Snapbuds around your cables and the embedded magnets snap together to quickly coil your cables.
We started with overall design visuals from Danny at PDX Industrial. OpenFab’s task was to stay as true to these visuals as possible while designing a Snapbud that worked.

Designing solid snap features at such a small size, and keeping our parts reasonable to injection mold, was the primary challenge of designing Snapbuds. We worked through many versions to get the perfect snap and cable fit. Fortunately we were able to 3D printed functional test prototypes in house. Lots of them.
